If you're going to mod the console, then it's a really good price considering it can play essentially every Nintendo console before it and even other console like Sega Genesis and PS1

Only advantage Wii U ports on switch have is you can play portably buts that’s pretty much it I never really felt like they were so much better on switch I felt like they were the same games

My mom got our Wii U for $50 which included the console, gamepad, all the cables (all of those were pretty obvious lmao), a pro controller, Super Mario 3D World, Super Smash Bros. 4, and some Batman game.

Yes for the nintendo wii backwards compatibility at hd resolution, nintendoland, zelda twilight princess hd, most other games on the wii u I have on the switch but for emulation and nintendo wii it is 100% worth it

It's so worth it with homebrew it's way easier to homebrew the wii u than the switch and you can add mods to games like botw and mario kart.

Consider Homebrew, adding mods to some of these games are so much easier on Wii u and won't risk banning ur console (cuz no one plays online anymore lmao)

While the gameboy advance games are still available on virtual console, along with wii and ds, that is another good perk

since with modding you can basically play all nintendo games except 3ds and switch

I think the reason why Nintendo ported all the Wii U games to other consoles like the 3DS or the Switch because the Wii U has a good selection, but it's sales was terrible so they wanted to salvage the great games.

You didn’t even cover anything aside from “the switch does it better” the Wii U has many great features like Miiverse which is now shut down but also an internet browser and loads more. The games are really fun and a lot are so much better than on the switch. There’s a full virtual console, wii backwards comparability, and free online. The Wii U is the best Nintnedo console and you should definitely buy one in 2022.
