Got mine a few weeks ago and I can't put it down. Currently playing the witcher 3 and I'm still in awe as to how good it looks and plays on a handheld

Recently got one for my birthday. I can’t lie, there are definitely times when I wish I could plug botw or splatoon 3 into my tv, but when you realize you’re playing these console quality games on a system not much larger than a 3DS XL, you don’t really complain as much. I grew up on Nintendo handheld consoles, and having this thing in my hands feels like having everything child me at the time could have ever wanted. I can’t help but grin a little every time I boot it up because of that. People compare the switch and its performance against other TV consoles because it has the capability to output video, where obviously it’s gonna fall short, but if you remove tv output from the conversation this thing is like a quantum computer compared to Nintendo’s previous handhelds. I could never have imagined owning this wonderful little thing as a kid still playing a DS lite.

I have the OLED, but when I go to gamestop, I love playing the Lite for some reason.

Fun fact: originally in 2020 October I bought the regular switch for $300 at target. In august 2021 I won a switch lite in an arcade machine. It was one of those arcade games were everything was on a string and you had to get the scissors lined up to the rope of the item you wanted to try to win and I kept going for the switch lite. After 25 try’s I used my last points I had on my card to try one more time and I managed to damage the rope for the switch lite and a few seconds after the rope snapped and the switch lite dropped into the dispenser area. I was so happy that I got it cause I never one anything like that in a arcade machine before and this was a class trip during my senior year graduation and all the kids in my grade eventually starting to find out one by one that I won it cause different kids kept asking me if I win a switch lite. I basically now use the switch lite a lot for car rides and I even play it at home alot too. But I always use every console I own so I still would also use my regular switch and Ps4 so I wouldn’t act like I forgot about them. Then in 2022 me and my group of friends went back to that arcade an august and my friends little brother saw that the oled model switch was in the arcade that my switch lite used to be in and after 10 try’s for him he got the rope to cut and won the oled model and I looked at him and said well done we both have officially won a switch from this arcade machine 😂. I even use the picture of him holding his oled switch with me and my friends standing behind him for my Lock Screen wallpaper on my phone 🎉. But in overall I like both my regular switch and switch lite because they both play different roles for me. Ever since I got the lite I just keep my regular switch hooked up on my tv now and I use the light for handheld.

I got mine on January, and I’m totally happy with it, I love the fact that I can go anywhere and take it with me, it’s great to play the amazing Nintendo games everywhere you go.

Yeah I mostly use the lite despite having the original one, I just love how compact it is and it doesn't feel like a giant psp

Idk why some people complain about it I’ve got over 400 hours in 2 years and it’s still just as good as it was then I love it! No drift at all, the screen is great and i look after it well :)
