I was totally excited about this OLED model. I have never had a switch so this is my first switch ever. I was going to wait for the switch pro that will probably come in 2023 but at this point I couldn't wait any longer. The global chip shortage also made me consider purchasing this model as all gadgets will probably be scarce.

Called my local gamestop an hour before they closed and they had 3 left. Grabbed my keys and sped my way to the store. Managed to grab the second to last neon+red version. From a side-by-side comparison with my previous switch, it is a night and day difference in terms of visual clarity and fluidity. It's worth the upgrade IMO

The OLED is my first Switch. One word: Amazing. I am happy with my Nintendo console. Nintendo however was never about latest graphics or hardware. It’s about gameplay and lore. Something i can appreciate. The next gen will not come anytime soon.

For me Nintendo products always have been emotional and fun products which doesn't need to be high-end. I will be very happy with the Switch OLED playing the games I love. ♥

Final Verdict: Don't upgrade your old switch, but if you are buying for the first time then go for OLED.

Thanks for the video, very informative! First time switch buyer; we had considered getting the older one and using the $50 for another game instead but now I feel we will be going with the OLED, the firm upgrade option has me intrigued as well.

What it need is a true 720P gaming on handheld mode AND a true 1080P on TV mode. Now is nearly 2022 and still using the trash tegra x1, something which is 2015. Terrible and still pricing so high. loving BOTW and Splatoon btw..

I sold my second gen switch and bought a switch oled 2 weeks ago. I’ve been playing breath of the wild on it and yes, you can tell the difference and it was well worth the upgrade

Just wanna put this out there I sorely regret buying the switch OLED. Devices borked out of the box When attempting to transfer my account from another switch finally got it working but now It cannot detect Wi-Fi networks

As someone who plays 100% of the time handheld its a day one purchase as i sold my gen 1 switch for 190 and I’m keeping my v2 switch as my stay at home second switch.

The all-new Nintendo Switch OLED is really bigger than my standard model of Nintendo Switch console. The Joy-Cons are white, but it still works with other Joy-Con colors when pairing to this new OLED Switch system.
