I just got a clk 350 from a family member, the car was bought new in Cal. USA in 2009, it is a coupe . Has 74000 miles on it . I love driving this. You are spot on in the handling ! And here in the US. parts for it are common . TY

I finally got my white 2009 280CLK Sport Cab on the road today after nearly a year’s part time work putting it right. I must admit that your video had a bearing on my purchase, although I’m feeling the sting of the £709 per annum road tax😢

Great video! Jut came across this. CLKs are great cars. I have an '04 CLK500 cabriolet with the AMG dress package and it runs like a demon! Not a sports car but a great combo of class and performance. Thanks for sharing on your channel! John

Thanks mate for this excellent post - I thoroughly enjoyed the footage and commentary. I suffer the car buying affliction (passion) myself, so I get it! I'm now reviewing these beautiful convertibles, as I have just purchased a 2009 CLK280 (with full AMG Pack) Convertible with only 15, 000 kms (9, 000 miles) on the clock. Slightly smaller 3.0L V6, but equally smooth and "buttery". Auto Transmission is so silky, the changes are almost undetectable - beautiful engineering. Sound insulation with the top up is extraordinary - feels/sounds like a hardtop coupe till you drop the top to let in the sun. Roof engineering and insulation is indeed a work of art. My spec is almost identical to yours - though Cubanite Silver with classic black leather interior and wood trim. Great buying for a full 4 x seat convertible and a delicious (last of series) design I have always admired. Thanks again! Ps. I hate driving with the top down and windows up also...not a great look is it :-)

Great video mate - keep up the good work. I've had a few clks over the years including a 99V 320 sport cab, if I remember rightly if you point the remote key fob at the drivers door handle, keep your finger on open button, all the windows come down and the roof opens.

cars...mine is a 2008 mystic red 350 sport...had the bonnet tastefully louvered to take the bland look off it ..the headlights replaced with DRLs and quad exhausts fitted just this month....love it !! Not cheap to run but worth every penny !!

Nice video. The sensor is always broken on these cars. However it takes like 30 min to fix if you can just do a little solder. Fixed mine and it has worked nicely ever since.

Cheers for making this. I'm going to look at a 2007 CLK350 this weekend which will be my daily driver. Seems the MPG will be as bad as the E53 X5 4.8iS I sold nearly a year ago 😅. Good job my current commute is only 8 miles. The X5 was my first and possibly last BMW, it wasn't the best of experiences.
Anyway, how does the CLK fare as a 2nd family car? We have a Honda CRV for most stuff, but I'm hoping the CLK is okay at weekends with a child seat in the back.

I've got a clk 220 CDI 2005 diesel that I've selling. Current mileage:145k.
Needs a bit of work...a full service but it still drives nicely. Black leather seats, heated front seats, parking sensors.
I've put it up for £1200.

I've got an 08 CLK 350 been fixing her up for a year now wish I could post à picture she's a red cabriolet never liked red but she's about changed my mind all I've driven in 20 years were Mercedes with the 3.5 but I've learned how to do much of the nechanical work I'd never learned without doing that

Hi, I was looking at a 2006 CLK 350 convertible with 85, 000 miles and it has a check engine code the guy is selling it for $6000, Because of your video explaining the problem with the timing chain gears I woke up and immediately decided not to buy it. Thanks for that information
