Spain registers only one death by covid-19 in 24 hours
The Spanish government announced today that the country has again registered only one death in the last 24 hours and 38 in the last week due to covid-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus . The figures reflect a change in the accounting mechanism of the Ministry of Health, announced last Monday, which will only indicate deaths registered in the seven days preceding the bulletin
With today's data, since the beginning of the pandemic there have been 27,119 deaths in Spanish territory. This Thursday, the Ministry of Health bulletin also points out that 182 cases of infection with the new coronavirus were registered, bringing the total to 237,906. Health Minister Salvador Illa said there had been new outbreaks in the country in the past few days in three different regions, but he said they were all controlled by isolating people who tested positive. "We are going along a good path, even faster than other countries. But, we must preserve prudence, because we cannot take any steps that could put us at risk again," explained the government official.
