Ranger Tries to stop me Flying My Drone Over Loch Doon

My first slightly negative encounter while flying a drone. Here's how to politely let someone know that you're not going to be bullied by anyone, regardless of whether it is Police, a Ranger or any other Karen who is trying to stop you from flying your drone, especially if a ranger tries to stop you flying your drone over Loch Doon

This Ranger seems like a nice big fella, but it's not good form to approach someone while they are flying and for your first words to be "Whit ye daein?" And then to follow that up with; "No drones!" No point in me being rude to the guy, so I just laughed and carried on doing what I was doing :)

If you'd like to support me to get out and about more and visit more of Scotland with my DJI mini 2 drone, you could always stick some fuel in my tank using this link. And it is very much appreciated!

If you decide to buy the DJI Mini 3 Pro, I'd very much appreciate it if you use the link in the description here. It won't cost you a penny extra, but I'll get a little tiny wee commission and thus, you'll be supporting me to continue to make videos about the DJI Mini 2, DJI Mini 3 and DJI FPV. And of course you'll continue to see the sights around Scotland! :)

That was the most violent non violence I have ever witnessed from 2 Scottish men 😂

"Can I see your driving license?" - One of the all-time great comebacks. Great to see you standing up for yourself.

"that's a nice attitude"
Says the grown child who didn't respond to the "how are ya" not 30 seconds before lol.
God bless those who speak their mind.

Brilliant, well handled. I love how he left because he knew he had met his match... That was perfect.

Couldn’t have dealt with the situation better myself. I’m always amazed at the ignorance of people who should know better. The request to see his driving licence was priceless.

Some people spend so much time trying to mind someone else's business. Very well handled.

Fantastic example of “Quo Warranto”.

The “I’m doing great, thank you!” In response to the “Whit ur ye dain?” Was wonderful.

No matter how old you get we still have to deal with people like this.

I am passive by nature and so sadly am a magnet for people like this. I admire the way you handled that, confidence is king in these situations.

Even a small amount of authority seems to have a terrible effect on some people, especially when you call their bluff. Masterfully handled, top work.

Love how he has a bad attitude from the instant he leaves the truck, then try's to say you have an attitude issue.

I like your chilled mannerisms. When you asked to see his driving licence he was stumped! Haahah

But when they gave me this green shirt, they told me I was king of the country... No respect!
