The Science behind what is really making you hungry when you're fasting.

This video will explain why hunger won't get worse and worse while fasting and why keeping your blood glucose and insulin low & why trying a keto diet will help you adapt to fasting a lot easier.

When I first started doing intermittent fasting, handling the hunger was quite difficult. I tried several things to try and make myself less hungry without breaking the fast, but what was most helpful was knowing that it would go away on its own, and why this was the case. So, I hope that this video helps those of you trying out prolonged or intermittent fasting - hunger is pretty much inescapable, there is going to be some level of discomfort when trying out fasting, but it's very encouraging to know that things will change and hunger will naturally go away.

If you're fasting make sure not to watch videos about fasting, they all have clips of delicious food throughout them...

In my younger years I was poor af, couldn't afford to eat every day. Now I know, that was actually healthy and started doing it even tho I can afford food.

I do a lot of extended fasting when i'm losing weight. By about 96 hours I find that the hardest part is boredom, not hunger.

Once you get over sugar, eating once or twice a day within a 4 hour window is easy.

Personal tip: When you’re feeling hungry, drink a small glass of water with 1-2 teaspoons of salt. My body often just wants salt and/or fluids and I can fast 18:6 effortlessly this way

30 years ago I learned in a military survival class(es) that hunger pangs go away after 48 hours.
It's True.

Break-fast is the most important meal of the day, and it can be eaten ANY time during the day.

Honestly I wake up hungry, but I've gotten used to it and have come to appreciate the hunger so that I really enjoy my food when it comes to my eating window.

I stop eating at 6pm. From 6pm to 6am is already 12 hours. I can eat at 10, most days I forget to eat and I am only hungry at 11 or 12. I drink black coffee, water or green tea during my fasting time. I drink a glass of water with a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar before bedtime. It's much easier now.

Snack time advertising is so dangerous. The more you eat the more you crave.

Very easy:
You sleep ~8 hours and skip breakfast. You already fasted 12 hours. 50% of the day. Skip lunch as wel and you have fasted for about 16 hours (66% of a day). 16 hour fasts are easy.

Honestly, I’ve tried to diet to lose extra pounds but Intermittent Fasting is so much better because I don’t even have to think about what I can and can’t eat. Just avoiding food altogether completely removes the hassle. I actually enjoy feeling hungry and finally satisfying that hunger with balanced food. You really feel your body utilising your food and it forces you to be more mindful of what you eat.

For me, intermittent fasting has been the best and easiest form of staying healthy.

I've always wondered why I wake up starving when I eat before sleep but if I don't I wake up feeling fine. Great video :)
