So the first thing to rule out is the pregnancy. When there is no pregnancy and then the patient has taken emergency contraceptive pills then the bleeding or spotting can be explained in many ways. Number one is there is a delayed periods so there is no ovulation happening. This is like an anovulatory bleed. So there is a hormonal imbalance. So it may go on spotting sometime and then bleed. Or it may spot and stop. Second thing is emergency contraceptive pill itself known to cause sometimes bleeding irregularities. So it like a withdrawal bleed. So you have taken progesterone to get a withdrawal bleed and because of hormonal imbalance there is no enough bleeding happening and it is bleeding on spotting. Whatever it is you have to see a gynaecologist to see that there is no missed pregnancy because that is more important at this point of time. Other thing is if it is a hormonal imbalance it can be corrected with some hormones. There is nothing major to worry about.

if the bleeding causes by postinor 2 can be called withdrawal bleeding, so there is no ovulation happening and no pregnancy occurs right?

Doctor here's my story.
3april- unprotected sex and took the pill within 8 hours of intercourse
8 april - again unprotected sex and did'nt took any pill after that.
11 april withdrawl bleeding comes.
Are there any chances of getting pregnant now?
