My Thoughts On Boruto's Power Scaling
Even after 58 chapters, the Boruto manga is still polarizing. One of the main reasons why is the supposed bad power scaling in the series because naruto and Sasuke are too weak. So in this video, I go over how the series has nerfed Naruto and Sasuke, the reasoning for doing so, and how it affects the future of the series.

Honestly, I feel it’s definitely bad writing that’s the main thing, at the end of the day I love powerful characters in Naruto. I know people talk about how they miss when it was just ninjas, but if the writing made sense and I’ll be it mediocre animation during the most of a long war arc didn’t help, but the plot holes are one of Naruto’s biggest problems and we all know that. And again Sasuke having chakra problems make is so unnecessary. They’ve had iffy reasoning for things in the show the series before, “Rinnegan abilities are very Why? 😂 He fought for days as a teen. 🤔 What agenda are they trying to push with this problem 😂 ? 🤷‍♂️. The series is just stupid, Kawaki saving himawari from delta's super fast attack while naruto couldn't move, A genin boruto who cheated to win against shikadai is punching momoshiki by the end of the arc- Momoshiki who could fight both naruto and sasuke at the same time and react to both of them working together. But boruto manages to punch him and even lands his rasengen on him twice, semi serious naruto is fighting delta(weaker kara member) but sarada and new team 7 can easily fight boro(stronger kara member) is speed even a thing in boruto... 1. Boruto landing a hit on momoshiki is impossible if you take their power and speed difference into account. 2. How is kawaki suddenly fast enough to come in between naruto and deltas attack they are both moving at super sonic speeds. So how??? Again its stupid. Naruto flashed to save himawari and delta's laser attacks were super fast so how?? 3. Boro is stronger than delta but he gets his ass beat by 4 genin kids how???? Delta forced naruto to go serious on her and here a even stronger member is getting trashed away by some kids. And he(boro) was literally sent there by jigen to eliminate sasuke. I don't know how he was going to achieve it. So everything so far has been stupid. "And boruto fans will say that jigen was relying on boro's virus mist ability against sasuke". Otherwise sasuke could have obliterated him. Even this statement is false and just shows that boruto fans dont like criticism. In boruto manga it is stated several times that boro is stronger. Further sasuke has counter to his virus mist. Firstly sasuke has pretty hightened senses and his eyesight is no joke. And further sasuke's deduction skills are arguably comparable to that of itachi and shikamaru's. So when boro weaves his signs for his mist cloud sasuke would notice immediately that the air surrounding boro has become denser and thus he would keep distance or would activate susano immediately. Sasuke's susano could reflect even infinite tsukoyomi. And this is just a fucking cloud. So boro was definitely not just relying on his mist cloud he definitely was strong. Its the power scaling that defeated boro. Secondly sasuke could maintain his distance he has many long range attacks. He can use susano's sword to fight or the arrow that his early susano used. Sasuke can use almighty push to bring him out of mist cloud and finish him. So the show is just stupid how are 4 kids fighting someone who was going to fight sasuke.... And that urashiki arc dont even get me started on that...

Honestly, I only have a question. Why does Boruto have to be anywhere near an Otsutsuki right now? Why does he have to fight Otsutsukis? He is a genin. And why do Naruto and Sasuke have to fight genin level opponents they're beyond Hokage level. If they kept those two separate than I would be more inclined to accept the powerscaling they are trying to shove down our throats.
P.S. Boruto could still receive that karma of his. When he went to help save Naruto he wouldn't be able to help in the fight, but Momoshiki would see his Jougan and mark him because of it, right before Naruto killed him

The bigger problem in boruto is how stupid everyone is in the verse. You have these earth threatening villains and none of the other kage/villages are involved (not saying they would do anything but you get my point).

Naruto is also stupid, he has access to all the tailed beast and he has yet to go and become the jinchuriki for them. He's gotten his ass kicked against each otsutsuki so far and he's still using the same shit against them. Sasuke is dead in the water because every Villian can now absorb jutsu so 90% of his arsenal is now useless and even Susanoo is fodder.

But what's gonna kill boruto for me is that after the time skip. Boruto and kawaki are gonna become so broken that it's not even gonna make sense. Chakra isn't even a thing now

They should've went with a part 1 Naruto style story fir boruto instead of a powescaling one.

Boruto should have never been about aliens. Fuck the Otsutsukis. Toneri should have been the last one. The moment they introduced Momoshiki, it went downhill. The anime's filler were good and represented what Boruto should have been. A world where shinobi still have conflict and its up to the next generation to discover their path of shinobi. A coming of age story. Instead, Shonen Jump went the alien and cyborg route where if you aren't the MC or his rival, none of you can do jack shit. The blatantly forced passing the torch as well just further emphasizes how bad the series has gotten.

Boruto honestly feels like a big fan fiction with knock off kaguya looking alien characters average villains being stronger than modara and bodying Naruto has all the elements

I really disliked the power scaling in boruto. Why immediately make Otsutsuki the enemy before the new generation have a chance to grow? There needs to be a gradual progression like in Naruto early days. Also, I understand that it's partly due to the unrivaled power levels of Naruto and Sasuke which they could have easily nerfed using plot.

1. Send Naruto and Sasuke into another dimension and lock them there then explain it using some kind of plot device. Maybe Otsutsuki sealed them there but reveal that later. In this way, we don't have the issue of "Naruto / Sasuke solving every threat" I think it will work well since boruto disliked his father and then him realizing the important of his hokage father and missing him, training to be more powerful, etc.

2. If we still want Naruto / Sasuke in the story. Maybe somehow seal away their powers with some otsutsuki secret seal or some other plot device. I just don't like that they ninja nerfed them to the ground with Sasuke constantly crying about having no Chakra then somehow gets stabbed in the eyes and losing their powers.

No wonder Kawaki says that when the powers levels can't even be trained in any normal ways, we have robots and aliens. Like what the hell?

It doesn't matter if the nerf is done well or not, . Nerfing character is just bad and poor writing it's a fact. How can I trust a story who make characters weak for plot convinience.
They could just sidelined Naruto and Sasuke and focus more on the next gen but they keep introducing foe at otsutsuki level one after another. Threat that only Naruto and Sasuke can deal with but because Naruto and sasuke are too powerful they nerfed them. Because at the end of the day it's Boruto story so I guess it's him who has to beat all the big threat. Yeah definitely poor writing. Power level isn't an issue but power scaling is.

Honestly I know nothing about Boruto but it's an interesting issue to have to deal with. On the one hand you don't want to spoil fan-favorite characters, but on the other hand, you don't want the protagonists of your own show to be outshined.

And don't worry Naruto and Sasuke are still not worthless in Boruto even after their nerfs because in just their Base Forms alone they are stronger than Kaguya, Base Form Momoshiki, Sage Of The Six Paths Chakra Mode Shippuden Naruto, and Six Tomoe Rinnegan and Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan Shippuden Sasuke plus you have to remember that both of them still have access to their Sage Mode, Six Paths Sage Mode, Three Tomoe Sharingan, and Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan respectively.

Naruto and Sasuke didn't get stronger throughout the years. It was out of character for Naruto to stop training. Not only did they(sasuke and naruto) got weaker, they also got dumber.

They don't use proper strategy anymore when the og series used to show their resourcefulness and craftiness.

Bro if you're still wondering why Naruto doesn't have the Truth Seeking Orbs anymore well it's because they were simply destroyed in his final fight against Sasuke at the end of the 4th Great Ninja War Arc of Naruto Shippuden and and he simply just doesn't know how to recreate them and he never gave a fuck to try because they'd simply get destroyed yet again.

Boruto is already stronger than Naruto and Sasuke as they are especially after they got nerfed. Now they are out here talking about characters like shibai an otsutsuki God they are not going back to form. Hell even made him smarter than Naruto and Sasuke.
