Eren always said he was free but I don't think that's true. Ever since he touched Historia and saw what he saw he became a slave to his own future. If he was truly free then he would have the power to change it. Once you see your prophecy there is no escaping it

That's the most accurate "what Eren saw" video I've seen. Too many people believe he saw everything from his future, every single detail with certainty. However, since Grisha had partial memories of Eren's future and Eren saw his future memories through Grisha's pov as he confirmed, Eren had a limited amount of memories too. He openly said he saw himself doinh the rumbling (the scenery/view mentioned to Zeke and quoted again after the freedom panel), manipulating Grisha and he saw other other partial fragments like Ramzi and probably Sasha's death's ones given that he asked what her last words were as a confirmation, likely. If Eren knew everything he wouldn't have eaten Willy thinking he was the WH titan, he would've known who really was the WH and how to defeat it, he would've known that Zeke wasn't actually dead in the Battle of Shiganshina instead of getting furious after Magath's shot (cuz he literally made things easier for him by bringing Zeke down the wall lol), he wouldn't have been surprised to be ignored two times by Ymir and brought into memories by Zeke, and so on (some people think Eren was acting and he knew all along the truth of those events cuz he was the supreme mastermind from the beginning but hell nah). The only moment in which Eren could really see EVERYTHING was after he got the full power of the Founder by Ymir. The manga confirms it.

In season four as well as the manga he explains how he saw everything leading up to the rumbling, and you executed it perfectly, his dads memories and you stick with the fritz bloodline and only showed that particular part, very well done, nothing wrong really here

Damn, this hits so hard. It's kinda crazy how he says to himself that he'd gladly give his life if he knew he could make a change didn't before seeing the future and getting what is essentially the greatest guarantee that your actions will make a difference.

as a manga reader, this edit is amazing. it truly shows you that when he meant he’d lay down his life if it meant things would truly change, he was basically foreshadowing that the rumbling would be his way of doing that. god this show and manga was such a good story.
