Your absolutely 💯 percent correct. I learned the hard way and burnt out three of the 225 motors. Switched to the 2620 and my problems were over.

I have the 2620 high speed trimmer. the 2620 curved shaft edger and now i picked up the 2620 pas with 3ft extension, pole pruner and hedge trimmer. Soon to have the bed redefiner as well. It works well and great. trimmed a 10 ft bush from the ground. only needed to climb a ladder 3 rungs so i could see the top of the bush.

I have the 225 and do 15 yards a week. I wish I would of spent the extra money and gotten the 2620. Very soon I will be upgrading. Great video.

I’ve used the srm 230 commercial for 4 year that I bougth used a garage sale . Perfect trimmer for bi-weekly clients. I couldn’t get it to break it just got stolen today 🤦🏽‍♂️and yes the speed feed is the best on the market !!

I have the 225 going on about 4 years still running cutting side yards. My step dad had it for his first weedeater when he started his lawn care service also . Echo is hard to be commercial or not. I am with you 2620 / x series has a whole lot more power but they will both get the job done expecally if your just starting out and in a spending budget range . Once you get out start making good money in lawn care with more consistent costumers and where you can afford it I would upgrade to the x series running commercial just for the power and the ability of getting thinks done just as good in a shorter expand of time but there both amazing weed eaters

Have a 2620, along with other very light duty trimmers. I heard you when you said your employees don't want to use it as often...it's quite heavy. However it's got the power. A phrase I heard on Lawnsite years ago rings true..."professional equipment requires professional handling". Meaning, it's big, powerful and heavy...get ready to use those muscles.

think you need the factory guards back on there tho. they were designed to spin a certain rpm with so much string out. right now your beyond the normal length and having the rev that engine harder just to get it to spin good.

I have both Trimmers and to be honest with you my 225 have been more reliable then my 2620T my muffler covers have broken twice already cuz more pieces to break the 225 are just one piece.

Bought my 1st echo last week....dealer sold me a 225 for weekly trimming....so far I
Iike it ok ....I wouldn't wade Into a waist high field....but for the price and weight it seems ok ....I keep trimmers 2 years and then get new ones
