In tall thick grass how do you keep the grass from wrapping around the spot between the gearbox and cutting head and bogging it down? I recently bought a 3020T. Didn’t have this issue with the old stihl I had But I have with echo and maruyama

The only difference between both of these it’s the lower gear reduction in the gearbox. Everything else is the same. For these going against the older 266, the only difference between it and the normal 2620 the the easy start (spring assisted) starter on the 266, the looks between the two, and a couple small part on the motor. Aside from tht, they’re the same size motor.

I am considering the purchase of a new trimmer, & I was wondering about the difference at first. Then I realized the PAS-2620 (no PAS-2620T is offered) will accept either of the two trimmer heads. If you buy the slightly more expensive trimmer head (2:1 ratio), your PAS-2620 is basically a PAS-2620T. Buying the two parts separately ($320 + $110) equals $430. Then you have decide if you are really going to use various attachments, because that adds about $70 to the cost of the trimmer.

We I am the only 2 choices I have a The Echo 2621 with the 2.07 : 1 ratio and the Shindiawa 263 with the 1.36 : 1 ratio.
Other than grips, and colour the rest is identical.
What gear ratio would be better for fortnightly maintenance? 85% tidy edging around the yard and 15% light brush

Dude i just got the echo2620 not the t model today and i love it i did change the head to the 450 speed feed head my dealer didnt charge me extra for that cause im used to using the 450 and took the guard off it feels a little more powerful then the srm266 and ligher as well thanks for your videos.

I was told by the dealer that the 2620T takes the brush cutter kit, and the 2620 doesn't.

They look like nice pieces of equipment, nice bit of info on the difference I got a mix match of stuff the 2 trimmers 1 redmax and 1 stihl a hand held echo blower and a stihl chain saw doesn't matter the brand to me as long as it does the job
