Echo v/s Stihl String Trimmers review

Just bought an echo yesterday, and I must say I am pleasantly surprised at the performance. Bang for the buck, a great value.

We have two old echos here at home and they have been the best we have ever owned . A srm230 and a srm260. They are at least 13 to 14 yrs old and still run excellent.

I like 2 strokes for daily use and I keep a kombi for heavy stuff and the pole saw where I want full throttle.

Nice upload. I run both stihl and echo, call me weird. To me, stihl is more powerful and last longer. I have a FS 131. However, I run a SRM 225 that is only $200 bucks and does fine for weekly growth.

Got a srm 230 and a are excellent trimmers....also a CS 450p and a CS 352 chain saw....great equipment.

I agree completely with the shaft length. It needs to be about a foot longer and angle the head about 10 degrees so it runs parallel with the ground.

If you do not like bending when your using a weed eater move your handle up almost all the way and it will make you stand straighter also Tanaka makes a longer shaft trimmer for taller people and they have it on Amazon

Echos are kicking ass we were having to many problems with the stihl 4mix trimmers losing power and running like crap after 2 seasons our 4 echos 2620 are on almost 2 years and still running perfect and I know for sure they will last longer and way less maintenance then the stihl 4mix

You would be vary impressed wuthering the 2620t it has a 2 to 1 gear ratio way more tourk

Have an echo timberwolf chainsaw and a smaller stihl. The stihl is falling apart, the echo loves me.
As a homeowner my biggest Q is Gas vs Battery for an acre with intricacies

Um can ask you something inst sometimes to buy a good use weed eater on Amazon or ebay in if that weed eater cost to much at a stores am just asking cause i saw a good weed eater use one

I run all echo there great machines. Also during the beginning of the season a lot of dealers give a 20% off sale. I got that echo for $260. The pb770 for $400. Call your dealer and see when they run echo 20% off sale

Everyone complains about and compares the 4mix to echo 2 strokes and it’s apples to oranges comparison. FS 94, 70 and even 56 are awesome 2 strokes trimmers that are far superior to echos 2 strokes.
