Losing Muscle Mass is an Adrenal Fatigue Symptom

Показать описание
The loss of muscle mass and weight is a late stage finding of adrenal fatigue. The body enters a catabolic state as it is trying to conserve energy.

When the body enters the advanced stages of adrenal fatigue it enters what we call a catabolic state. The body is trying to conserve energy, and what better way than to break down the current muscles in order to generate energy for the brain and the rest of the body. At this time, usually, the body is trying to slow down the G.I. tract as well. So the assimilation of food tends to be problematic, and food sensitivity can become quite prominent.

Over time what people realize and experience is this is a gradual loss of weight; the muscles under the arms can become flabby, the weight in addition to loss or slow losing weight can also experience flaciddity, that means it's losing the collagen integrity of the muscles, so you will find that doing push ups will be a little bit more and more difficult, and sometimes even taking a breath, a deep breath will be problematic; because without the proper muscle mass the expansion of the chest cage can be compromised.

So this goes along with many other symptoms of catabolic state, so when you have weight loss for no apparent reason and all your doctors tell you everything is fine, you've been checked out and screened for other more serious problems such as cancer, and nobody knows why and you are unable to gain weight, then you have to think of adrenal fatigue in an advanced stage situation.

Now remember, we're talking about advanced stages and most of the time, by the time sufferers come to this stage, they are usually somewhat limited in their energy expenditure. They can be housebound, they usually have multiple chemical sensitivities, as well as G.I. disturbances, and a lot of heart palpitations and hypoglycemic episodes. So, you cannot just look at the weight alone as a single symptom, it really forms a bigger part of the whole catabolism picture. That of a body is breaking down its own integrity and its own framework, in order to generate energy.

Now knowing this is very important because catabolism is a reversible state, but you have to know what is going on first and then how to structure a stabilization phase along with a recovery phase, and then plan a comprehensive program to reverse catabolism. If you don't reverse catabolism it can end up quite devastating, and muscle mass loss is only one of the beginning symptoms. Further symptoms can, as I said earlier, include the loss of the ability to take a deep breath, etc., and, of course, bedriddenness - becoming totally bedbound - can be the worst case scenario. You don't want to get there so if you think you have loss of muscle weight for no reason and loss of muscle mass, please do think of adrenal fatigue in advanced stages as one of the possibilities.

This just recently happened to me. Intermittent fasting while bodybuilding caused extra stress on my body in conjunction with anemia. I lost about 15lbs of muscle mass. Now that I’m no longer fasting and I’m eating the proper nutrition, I’m looking forward to gaining everything I lost back in time.

Thank you so much for your video. I've been losing muscle mass over the last year or so. Also have had morphea skin inflammation for about 10 years. I think this may be the issue. I really appreciate your advice and website. Thank you

Constant joint pain. Lower back pain tightness. Never much energy or appetite. I only have a cup or two of coffee daily in the morning, that could be the culprit at 100 to 150 milagrams of caffeine. Im 41 and have lost so much strength since i was in my 20s. I still exersize sometimes with weights and walk daily

I was told I was experiencing adrenal fatigue- but at the same time, my cortisol levels were very high.

I would go cycling and II taught yoga. After cycling (15 - 60 miles, 2-3x per week), I would become puffy l/bloated - in the face,
especially.

I could not have a BM for 2 years without suppositories. A very bad bout of food poisoning actually fixed it.
I have been treated for clinical depression and C-PTSC, but being symptomatic since childhood.

I had back surgery, recovered, then had a bad twist injury (ankle and foot).

I developed a vocal cord palsy around the same time.

It has been almost 10 years since the ankle/foot injury.

Depression and anxiety have been crippling and I’m now just on my couch all the time.

I cannot stand up for more than a few minutes and I breathe heavily walking to the bathroom and back.

My muscles are all but gone. I need to use a walker.

My back is in extreme pain. I did have surgery 12 years ago.

My vision has declined drastically.

My teeth have suddenly broken, split or hollowed and crumbled, mostly in the front and at the gum line.

Does ANY of this sound like adrenal fatigue or similar?

Rush Medical in Chicago shrugged their shoulders at the Adrenal-calm pills and salve plus the Estradiol I was taking.

They did say that my body was “trying to outrun a lion that isn’t there.”

Please. Any help or ideas would mean the world to me.

Peace, joy and comfort to all.

Can one reverse the muscle loss? I've noticed that my glutes have diminished in size over the years, and my legs have become skinnier. All my weight has gone to the trunk of my body... I just turned 40 years old, and I've been under a lot of stress for over a decade. As a conscious man, I want to recover my overall health and my body.

Could the muscle weakness lead to hiatus hernia, weakness of the muscle result stomach pop into the upper part of the chest? By the way, could the problem happen to elderly taking too many regular medicine eg non selective beta blocker and suffered from adrenal fatigue?
