In this video, I reference an older study (see below!) that looked at skeletal muscle mass in men and women between the ages of 18 and 88 years old.

At what age does muscle mass decline in men and women? I'll discuss preventing muscle loss with age, which is known as sarcopenia. You'll learn how to avoid sarcopenia, muscle loss with aging.

Although it appears there is some muscle loss in your 30s and 40s, I'll explain how to prevent muscle loss over 35.

So when does muscle mass decline? That depends!

At age 50 I still perform squats, calve raises, dumbell curls tricep extensions, sit ups and leg raises. I also go for my weekly sprints on my road bike.

I'm age 41, I do handstand, yoga and some weight lifting, hopefully helps with losing muscle in the future.

As a 28 year old man got less muscle mass on arms and got some abs you can say 4 packs but stores body fat on lower midsection legs thighs i know this has to do with genetics and if i start a bulking phase i know it will actually get worse confused.

I say 30s and 40s you'll see a reduction of muscle mass slowly diminish because of your testerstone
