Presence is more "now", too. The drama triangle is often time-shifting; either about the past or the future - which inherently make you powerless. IMHO I think there's been a cultural shift towards the drama triangle in this generation. Even superheroes these days have to be victims, too.

with blaming the victim, you make yourself a crucial part of the victim triangle, becoming a perpetuum mobile, with just swapping the roles. You put the victim in the role of the villain, the villain in the role of the hero, and you yourself, being the perfect hero by selling solutions to get rid of victims, now have put yourself in the role of a victim. A poor fake-victim of all the real victims.
