(not saying all 12 year olds are selfish, but kids are hard wired to be selfish as a survival instinct. Showing both of their selfishness and sacrifice is a great representation of kids in this age range)

I hated Mabel for her selfishness until the book of Bill came out cause in the book it's implied their parents are getting a divorce, and that's why they were sent to stay with stan, so the parents can sort stuff out, it would also explain why mabel was soo willing to be trapped in her false reality in weird magedin, she was scared of losing her brother and having to go back to a crumbling home

This episode isnt the only one in the series and he later on reversed it. Most times mable guilts dipper for being obsessed with wendy but in every 2 episode she is with another guy.

I find Mabel annoying, but not terrible. She's fucking 12 and that's normal for some 12 year old girls, especially when you get boys involved.

I don't like her because of the finale
She gives things away that belong to Dipper and Ford
She gives it to a random guy who she's only met once
And then once given the choice to have things fixed and be right, chooses, a reality where everything is, how she wants it
That's why I don't like her
But I really do understand your point here
That episode should not be a reason. People don't like her
As you said, the whole episode was to prove that Dipper was wrong
But I just don't like her because of the finale

Well, when Mabel was on Mabel Land, she literally made a "BETTER" Dipper💀

For me it was when during Weirdmaggedon when, after everything Dipper had done for her, she happily replaced him with Dippy Fresh. It felt like she didn't care about Dipper at all.
