Right on Jerry I had a hole in the roof at the top of the windshield edge rubber seal almost dead center on my free 97 Corolla I cut a small hole in the inner reinforcement and glued in a patch with panel bond adhesive once cured I used short strand filler to seal it outside a small amount of regular filler prime paint you can't tell it's there...didn't want to pull a good windshield just to weld a hole...couple of years now with my free beater roof still solid. Thanks Jerry for all you've taught me with your videos.

I've been using jb weld for holes like this for a long time. Works great especially if you don't have a welder or aren't good at welding

Put some JB weld in a pinhole at the top of the radiator and waited for it to harden. Held up just fine amazing results, preparation to the are is KEY!

I used JB weld in my tv repair shop for many years for various things!It was by far the strongest epoxy I’ve ever used, saved the day many times, I use it at home now!It has saved me money many times, and the repair is strong and lasts!

I've used Marine Tex (same as JB) to do the same thing. Didn't use any metal, just the epoxy. It dries hard. Did it 3 years ago. Still holding strong.

Works if you need it cheap personally i wouldnt use it on body panels but thats just me. I have used it to "weld" my new exhaust together. Works pretty good for that. Just sad people will now do this to sell the car as is no damage new paint lmao

You can also get a decent repair with metal filler, like proform or evercoat metal-to-metal. It's like halfway between jb weld and bondo.

I patched my gas tank with this original formula and it is still holding strong!
Impossible to find another tank and restoration quotes plus pulling fuel pump etc would have been insane.
The first two repairs were with the special JB weld gas tank kit. Mixes black and stays kinda soft and greasy when cured, then the gas wicks its way through the fiberglass cloth. They refunded my money and said "we dont recommend original jb weld formula on gas tanks" That son of a gun is so rock solid and dry as a bone 🎉
