Foam holds moisture, i tried this on the rockers of my truck, a couple years later the rockers were gone completely

Just cut it out and weld in new metal. Then drill a small hole too fill the rocker with used motor o to prevent future rust

Confused as to why anyone would do this. You are causing the rust to speed up if anything by giving it a warmer, moister environment. Not sure what the point of this is at all.

We use to use steel wool to fill holes and Bondo over.
