"That's a... really nice shark plushie over there. How is that the swedes call those? Blahash or something? pardon my ignorance..."

Simple, detective. I use them for my sigma gaming sessions to bring more blood to my head.

These are my programming socks, SIR. I would appreciate it if you wouldn't judge a man by his impeccable taste in Hot Topic T-shirts.

The moment this started on “Your favorite games are Fallout: New Vegas and Celeste” I knew exactly what kind of egg was getting cracked

"I couldn't help but notice your impressive Gamer™ setup. Nice chair, LED-lit mechanical keyboard. Your headphones look just as fancy, but I've gotta ask―do the fox ears serve any functional purpose?"

*Directed by Gianni Matragrano*

I think Gianni finally realized he can print digital gold with a funny accent alone, lucky him

Watching Columbo get to the point is like spectating a car crash in slow motion: you know what's gonna happen from when he says "brother-in- I mean _sister_ now"

in the original series Columbo speech is very calculated, each word is deliberately chosen for him to get the informations he want /trap the culprit while still keeping the appearance of a bumbling every-man.
the fact that he, seemingly, misgender his sister-in-law before correcting himself at 0:14 is most likely intentional to convey that he is talking about a trans personne, while not being direct in his accusation that whoever he is talking is a closeted trans.
not only the voice is on point but so is the writing, great stuff

This has changed my view of Columbo from "borderline supernatural entity of justice and vengeance" to "benevelant fairy godmother, " just traded in the wings and wand for an overcoat and cigar.

My wife, she loves these Gianni Matragrano videos. Can't get enough of 'em. Says the guy sounds just like Columbo.

Columbo! In the year 2022. Who'da thunkit.

Never thought Gianni calling out a specific shirt I own while pretending to be Columbo would give me an identity crisis, but here we are.

Edit: Uh, didn't expect my slightly tongue in cheek joke to get so much attention. While I'm sorry to say I am not an egg waiting to crack (yeah, yeah, that's what they all say, right?), some of these responses did get me to do some soul searching and made me realize I wasn't happy with how I expressed myself or how I view myself. I've slowly started taking steps to work on this and feel a little better about myself everyday. Thanks for the push, internet strangers.

Jokes on you, my green Zelda shirt has Link on it, and my knee-high socks have cartoon sushi instead of pink stripes. You've got no case, Mr Columbo.

Colombo but instead of solving crimes he helps people figure out their gender through his incessant questionning

I always like how Gianni perfected his Columbo impression right there. Made me smile even in a terrible heatwave.

Those are just programming socks. Surely you can't fault a man for warming his legs while he works?

Bruh, like, no cap. I'd love to listen to Gianni voice Columbo in a radio show with the same audio quality but with modern scenarios. Please let this happen, I'm begging you.

"Well- uh- t-there a friends! Yes, a friend of mine, Samantha, stopped by today, you've met her haven't you? She loves the 'e-girl' aesthetic you seen and she must've left her socks here. And I've played video games similar to Celeste for quite some time now! Why, Super Meatboy is one of my favorite games, and I particularly enjoy Kaizo games! I simply love the rush I get after completing those difficult levels, and I am quite proud to say I've become a professional at completing them."

"Oh, yes, I've met Samantha, lovely woman. My wife loves her look, says it's the new rage with the young people. I'm also quite a fan of Super Meatboy myself, and I can relate to the rush you get. And your Steam account clearly shows you've put a lot of time into Kaizo games."

*"There's just one thing that's been botherin me..."*

"You said that there from your friend, Samantha, yes? Well, Samantha does have that 'e-girl' aesthetic, but I think it's more a 'goth gf' look, understand? Too many dark colors for an 'e-girl', somethings bright like this would clash terribly with what I've seen her wear. Also, yes, you've put a lot of effort into your Kaizo games, and where normally it'd take 30 to 40 hours to beat at 100%, you've completed most of em at 10 to 20 hours, all at 100%. Remarkable, I tell ya. Your copy of Celeste, however, has over 185 hours clocked in, and yet it's only at 87% completion. Now I don't know about you sir, but that doesn't sound like a professional's work. Almost like you weren't really trying to finish the game at all, just...enjoying the experience?"

"How very...observant of you lieutenant."
