My Highest Percentage Single Leg Takedown FINISH! (Caution: It's Very Explosive!)

The Single Leg Takedown is one of the most commonly practiced takedowns in Wrestling, Jiu-Jitsu, MMA, Sambo, and more.

With that being said there are countless different ways to finish this technique.

Today's video will explain how I love to finish the Single Leg.

We, Wrestlers, tend to call this technique the "Punch Trip Finish" but often times the "punch" is not even needed.

This takedown is very explosive and can be dangerous if your partner is too stiff or forgets to turn around or break fall. So drill this with caution.

Brandon, I notice that you're not pinching your knees when you capture their leg. Some coaches insist on that. I'd like your opinion- do you find that's a more optional aspect to the technique? I'm trying to figure this all out. Great video!

Thank you Brandon your instructionals and videos are so informative, so easy to digest and execute !

May I ask : for a guy smaller than you going against you same level what would you suggest him to go for better success (takedown wise ) outside singles ? Upper body underhook and set ups from there? Russian ties ?
