8 Logos You Don't Know the Hidden Meanings Of

We're bombarded by logos and symbols every day, and for the most part we recognize them for what they’re selling or who they represent. But more often than not we take those symbols for granted. In this video we'll take a look at some of the more common ones you're exposed to on a daily basis, and explain their hidden meanings.

It is Bayrische Motoren Werke AG and not Werker. ;) The name is pretty easy to translate it would mean in English Bavarian Motor Works/Production AG

The early Cisco logo was a bridge and not those blue lines, are a 'reduction' of the original. It helps to know that the first products Cisco made where called Brouters... or Bridging Routers. Now we simply call them routers, but the bridge concept of what these devices did, as we built out the internet in the early days made a lot of sense to those of us who were involved with Cisco in those early days.

One thing they don't sell is good service. They started making their own deliveries where I live, and whenever they deliver a package they leave it on the edge of my porch, not bothering to take the two additional steps it would take to ring my bell, then they report that they personally handed the package to me.

Regarding the NBC logo, for those of us that grew up in w 50's and 60's color TV was a big deal. Few people had a color TV, but were really excited to see it. So that NBC logo was an impressive image packed with meaning to every viewer.
