“The world doesn’t need another capsule!”
Elon Musk's statement is proving to be true. Despite setbacks, SpaceX has rebounded impressively, continuing to create miracles with upcoming crew missions. In stark contrast, the disappointing Starliner has not only failed to return but its future seems increasingly uncertain.
Now is the time for Starliner to repay everything to the American people.
Meanwhile, ULA has taken a new step with their workhorse rocket, the Atlas 5. However, a bleak future might be in store for them.
Let’s find out more on today’s episode of Great SpaceX.
Finally Happened! NASA To Launch Big Dragon Mission while Giving Up On Boeing Starliner...
The recent return of the Falcon 9 after a two-week hiatus has reignited optimism within the U.S. aerospace industry. Building on this momentum, we now look forward to the upcoming crewed missions this reliable rocket will carry.
Following the successful Crew-8 mission in March, SpaceX is preparing for its next mission under NASA's Commercial Crew Program, Crew-9. NASA has officially set the launch date for this mission as August 18, just a few weeks away. Are you ready?
Finally Happened! NASA To Launch Big Dragon Mission while Giving Up On Boeing Starliner...
However, this schedule is contingent upon several critical factors. Firstly, SpaceX must conduct a test fire of the upper stage used in the mission to ensure its reliability. Additionally, the timing depends on the departure of Boeing's CST-100 Starliner spacecraft, which is currently docked at the station for the Crew Flight Test (CFT) mission. For NASA to facilitate a “direct” handover—where Crew-9 arrives before Crew-8 departs—Starliner must vacate its docking port.
Despite these dependencies, I am confident that any potential issues will be resolved, and the schedule will proceed as planned. So, let's prepare for this exciting mission.

To be resolved, thank you.

Those two are gonna qualify for Medicare before Boeing can figure out how to bring them back.

I guess the Starliner astronauts should be grateful the hatch didn't come off on the way.

According to Elon, Boing has an army of lobbyist. This insures their funds unlike their capsule, will not fail.

Well you caught me again with your trick for a title. Your videos are all the same mix the pictures up and cobble it together with the same words in a different order. You have a big enough audience there is no need to basically lie.

I agree that they should have SpaceX rescue them but I see this same headline at least a half dozen times a day on youtube. And every time someone asks NASA they deny it.

Click bait title very annoying. You don’t need to do that.

For the schedule to "proceed as planned, " Starliner has to return home with Butch and Suni, and that is still the current plan. There is nothing in the latest news that says NASA has "given up" on Starliner. Wow, another clickbait headline. Who'd have thought it.

You need to remember the most important thing. All these issues only enhance the bonus checks for upper echelon management. Nothing else matters.

The last Atlas. From John Glen's orbital flight to this final launch. It had evolved quite a bit. Now it joins it's legendary stablemate Titan in retirement.

Great video, but Boeing had better forget about starliner, we have Dragon 🐉 and that’s enough. Only 7 years left for the ISS.

Star-liner = rubbish - leave it to Space X...

ULA's SLS = expensive rubbish - leave it to Space X.

I wish SpaceX would have developed a winged craft, something like Dream Chaser. Give the Dragon 🐉 Wings!

Yes, please leave it to Dragon. If I were those astronaut, I wouldn’t wanna come back to earth in that tin can.

The way things are going, SpaceX will dock a StarShip before Boeing makes a StarLeaker work.

The problem for launch providers is that SpaceX has changed the paradigm by proving re-usability lowers costs and improves operational readiness. If they don't embrace the SpaceX model, legacy providers will be in no position to compete in the growing space commercialization market.

Elon shows the world that most people aren't smart enough to create space tech.

Send Starliner home empty to test it, and put two extra seats in Dragon.
