I love starting my garden plants from seeds, the difference in overall cost is mind blowing and with the variety I like to plant, starts would bankrupt me! Granted, I grow mostly peppers but still ...
My question, they can handle cooler nights but what about a day or two of late spring snow? Seems that's an issue here.

I got a bunch of mushrooms spent substrate blocks and I'm trying to see if I used it in pots, whether it could help the soil remain cooler than your average soil! Hope it works and prevents bolting!
