wtf man, whoever runs that assisted living needs to be held accountable. These places cost several thousand dollars a month, they bankrupt famililes, and they just leave residents to sit in flood water?

As a visitor who got trapped in Florida during my vacation and forced to go through Hurricane Milton: my advice to anyone is don’t move to Florida. If you live in Florida, move out! Why subject yourselves to annual threat of constant hurricanes? It was a stressful miserable experience! You can have a better life elsewhere! Just don’t pick “Tornado Alley”!

One time when renting may be preferable to buying.

DeSantis, please start holding the owners of these nursing homes accountable. Every time a storm hits, the people are abandoned.

So sad. Prayers! 🙏🏻🙏🏻. It was just myself & my pitbull. Terrified. So much damage. I feel so bad for the people who lost everything. I lost power, but thankfully it's back on & I'm alive. Was terrifying. I sat in my bathroom. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

"Pray mommy, pray..." How sad for a child to have to say those words under those circumstances.

I pray for all who have very little family or friends to support them during this time. Sometimes it feels like we only have God to turn to. Thankful to see strangers helping others.

This is so sad. Like we don’t have enough to contend with as a country…these national disasters are literally destroying peoples lives (well at least their cars and homes).

We woke up to trees down, covering every exit. No electric. No water. Water inside my car. Power lines down every turn. Debris covering every step. Confusion. Unprepared hostility. People realized they couldn't go to the store, make coffee or get to their friends and family. Realized there's nobody who will help you dig out of the mess or rush to get service back on.. there's no sirens or sense of urgency to assist you or your neighbors. Animals are running around. Everything is a mountain and you have to climb it.

People never learn. When u live on the ocean storms will tear ur home up. There shouldn’t be anyone living near on on the beaches. Should be at least a mile where nobody can live or put up homes
