I rock a 1080p 24' 144hrz. Makes it so easy to run games. And at that size there isnt a big difference.

Not many years ago everyone was happy playing at 720p or less Call of Duty MW2, BO2 on the Xbox 360, 1080p is totally fine, if you want to go to 1440p or more it must be because you really can and want to, not because you have to.

1440 is meant for those who can’t afford 4K but still want a bit more than 1080p resolution. It’s like comparing i3 i5 and i9 core processors, where i3 is 1080, i5 is 1440 and i7 or i9 4K they all are capable for gaming but there is one always the best in terms of quality and resolution. Who cares what you get as long as you are happy with what you buy. Pay close attention to Hz’s, refresh rates in milliseconds, technologies such as G-Sync NVIDIA and Freesynk for AMD.

I cant handle small monitors. Even large monitors. I need a tv to really appreciate a game. Had a 40" 4k tv i used for ages, liked it, good upscaling from 1440p. Switched to a 164hz 32" monitor, was fine for ages, but then when I tried out some games on my TV again, i really missed how much more immersive it was. So many details missing on a monitor. Also, for FPS, your targets are literally bigger.

Bought myself a 43" 144hz TV with VRR. Never going back to a monitor. Currently using my old 4k tv as a second monitor cause i like watching stuff with some games 😂 people are missing out.

So I need a new gaming monitor . Im more of a try hard than anything so I don’t care about looks as much as I care about fps. Im unsure on if I should get a 1440p 244hz monitor or 1080p 244hz

I’ve done a lot of research cause I got those jaggy edge on my 1080P 240hz monitor and I’m a warzone player, when I looked at YouTuber video like handler Exoghost they have insane graphic and I even tune by pc by pc expert for $200 even that didn’t help I still had jaggy edge like line airing tree or building than I finally upgrade to oled 1440P 240hz those all problems are gone my imagine look crystal clear decent frame 160-190 fbs
So from experience if you play battle royal
You must have an 1440P monitor your at disadvantage
For game single player or fbs multiplayer 1080P is great for higher fbs but for large map 1440P is must especially call of duty warzone

I know, some people invest in higher resolution monitors and play games in 1080p. I'm like, bruh stop wasting your father money

For me it just looks bad, on mine every single game has jagged edges and texture flickering, no matter how high I set the AA

1080p 144hz 24 and a 1440p 75hz I do see a difference but not worth it in my case, mostly use the 1080p one
