Say anything you want to about John Travolta... he is s MAGNIFICENT DANCER. I have always loved him, comedically, romantically... Anything... he danced with Princess Diana!! A most spectacular and heartfelt moment! Blessed Be always to you!

This is brilliant. It really showed how challenging it is to be A Dancer. I remember watching Dance Fever and there was a Couple who although "Won" The American bandstand Dance Contest in 1978 "tanked" and one of the Judges was none other than Ben Vereen who besides playing Chicken George in Roots, also was a professional Dancer on Broadway in Pippin financed by Motown whose Mentor was Bob Fosse. In the early days, a lot of the Children who danced on Bandstand thought that they could be big stars and none of them did. One of the most successful Alumni was Damita Jo Freeman who also dance don Soul Train, worked with Goldie Hawn in the TV & Movie Version of Private Benjamin and played the Friend in Flashdance during the Workout Sessions and also was in a Movie of The Week with Jamie Lee Curtis & Melanie Griffith called She's In The Army Now". She also helped Choreograph the 1984 Olympics. Then in The In Crowd (Not The College Movie) there's a Young Man named Del who dances on Perry Parker (A Poor Man's Version Of American Bandstand) and there's a Young Lady named Vicky who Dances with Del and hopes to make it in Hollywood. Also in The Book, Tony discovered hat Disco Dancing and Professional were as different as Night & Day. Kind of like Annette in Fame where her Boyfriend Leroy upstages her at her audition and blows The Teachers and fellow auditioners away.
