You are the most practical and down to earth woodworker i have ever seen. Never talking in a fancy language or intimidating others with million dollars worth of tools. Thank you Colin God Bless !!

Colin, I re-read your tips periodically as a refresher. I have to admit that I forget some of them over time. Thank you for your excellent instruction.

Love your hacks! I use two hands to put the blade over the arbor. With left hand holding the blade, I put the middle finger (you know, the one we sometimes drive with) of my right hand through the hole. Nudging the blade up to the arbor I can feel it with the end of my finger and gently guide it onto the arbor. I've never dropped a blade. I use the same technique for the nut, dropped only one in twenty years.

Thanks for taking time to share your ideas. I don't understand why some people feel the need to give a thumbs down. Thanks again

Colin, you've outdone yourself this time. I've enjoyed all these "hacks and tips" videos though many are aimed at beginner-level woodworkers. But all 5 of these were top notch and worthy of immediate implementation. I hate dismantling the hose inside the cabinet to find an arbor nut, and  once I had to dismantle some of my hard-piped system to find one that had made it thru the 4" pipe to the 6" riser. And that plywood blade cradle is a great idea, since all table saws seem to have minimum working space around the arbor.

Я плохо знаю английский, но с удовольствием смотрю и слушаю Ваши ролики. Ваш подход вполне соответствует моему: чем проще, тем лучше! и: нет такой вещи, которую нельзя усовершенствовать!
Спасибо большое!

That magnet trick with at the bottom of the saw is awesome. 👍🏾 So many times I dropped that nut and had to dig it out from the saw dust. It’s amazing how the simplest things makes such huge difference.😊

Thankyou for the tape measure idea. I have 4 or 5 tapes that float around the shop yet I'm ALWAYS searching for one

Nice tips! I expecially like the saw holder. As my right hand sometimes "fails" (arthritis, you know), I'd add an extra "safety" feature by making a hole in the handle, large enough to put at least one finger through it.

I like the magnet on the tape measure, gonna add it to them tonight...I actually hot glued magnets to my flat pencils so that I have one on my table saw, mitre saw, drill press...etc. I was constantly losing them, but not anymore!

Love the tips, particularly the tape measure tip. ive got 5 of them because I'm always constantly losing them, and can (still) never find one. But by using the magnet idea, I can also screw in a series of metal strips or washers, at strategic points around my workshop. That way, I always know where to look for a tape measure- as long as i can get in the habit of always putting them on one of the magnets, of course.

Great video! One suggestion for the plywood blade holder... Add a rare earth magnet at the top to keep the blade from falling while it's sitting in the bottom holders.

Thanks for sharing your skills and knowledge with us!
