Показать описание
A sub used to take tourists to see the wreckage of the Titanic has vanished with five people on board, including a Brit billionaire.
Rescue crews are frantically searching the Atlantic Ocean after the £200,000-a-head voyage disappeared.
Five people are on board the missing sub, the US Coastguard has confirmed.
One of them has been named as aviator and businessman Hamish Harding.
The 58-year-old is known as one of the leaders of the record-breaking mission to orbit the Earth via both poles in 2019.
The Chairman of the British Titanic Society has told TalkTV of the missing submersible that, “when you undertake a dive such as this, the passengers and the crew, they do realise the possibility of an incident such as this happening.”
David Scott-Beddard gave his thoughts on the incident and the craft - which is used to take tourists to the site of the Titanic wreck - on Jeremy Kyle Live, and said he hopes and prays the divers come back safely.
Jeremy asked Scott-Beddard for his reaction to what has happened.
He said, “It’s clearly very distressing news. This is the first incidence of this type since Titanic was discovered in September of 1985, so primarily our thoughts are with the crew and members of the public who are tourists onboard the submersible.”
