As an ex scuba diver I would say guiding a submersible near a wreck is dangerously risking entanglement with cables etc.

I feel sorry for everyone on board, but especially the 19 year old. He’s too young and I’m sure not ready to take a real risk of death at his age.

From what I can gather from various experts being interviewed about it, the thing was a death trap and should never have been used for tourists. The fact they don't have transponders on it giving sonar pulses for location speaks volumes. A chap on talk radio who uses submersibles regularly on oil rigs said they should have had at least two sonar locators fixed to the outside so it can be found in an emergency.
Face it, they are likely never even going to find the thing let alone rescue anyone.

Imagine your feelings getting told that the submersible has lost power and the emergency floatation bags aren't working and your sitting at the Atlantic Oceanfloor? That's enough to bring ANYBODY to tears! I'm wishing those tourists get saved in time being dead is scary!

To be honest there should always be a cable attached to any submersible exploring that deep in the ocean! Then the fact that this sub is supposed to take tourists down to the Titanic there definitely should have been a cable attached!
