Of course, when the word "REVERSE" is used, we are talking about REMISSION. Remission is as close to the word cure we can get since medically this word is forbidden.

In this video, we’re going to talk about a question I get a lot from my viewers, can you reverse diabetes? The answer is: it depends.

We’re primarily talking about type 2 diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune problem. Type 2 diabetes is a problem that has to do with epigenetics. If you understand this, you may be able to do something about type 2 diabetes.

Epigenetics means “above genetics.” This is all about lifestyle choices, like diet, exercise, and stress. You can control and keep your genes from expressing certain diseases with epigenetics.

Most people don’t focus on the key thing that’s causing T2 diabetes—carbs. You have to lower your carbs to support healthy and normal blood sugar levels.

Lowering your carbs also lowers your insulin, which lowers your insulin resistance.

There are 7 main things that cause insulin resistance:
1. Sugars (especially refined)
2. High carbs
3. High-fructose corn syrup
4. Vegetable oils
5. Starches
6. Medications
7. Stress

You should always attack type 2 diabetes at its core by focusing on these seven things.

I have been following these advices for a year in moderation. Now, I am healthier, slimmer, and as a 63 year old male, I bike 50 kms with a vertical ascent of over 1, 000 meters 3 to 5 times a week. It is a very pleasant way to stay healthy and to age well.

I am in the process of reversing this issue in my body. I have already given my testimony or a lot of it on your website. But I finally got to that place in my life where I came to the decision that enough is enough. And I was ready to change my eating habits to fix my body. And as I have poured myself into watching these videos from 4 different guys including Dr. Berg. I discovered that I have been a diabetic for at least the last 4 years.
I started around January 10th of this year. And as of this morning I am down 95lbs and 13 inches off my gut. I didn't start the intermittent fasting until half way through February. And halfway through March I decided to hit it hardcore and intermittent fast for at least 20 hours a day. Today I am finishing a 48 hour fast (my first one this year). Feeling great and it wasn't hard because I have become adapted to fasting.
I'm starting to get some feeling in the bottom of my feet. So I am seeing and feeling results. And I know it is working.

My birth father was Aztec/Spanish, my mother American Indian. I must fight my genetics all the time. The SAD is not for me. Everyone in my birth family (I was adopted) has T2D. I work constantly to keep myself healthy and my weight in check. I appreciate your educational videos so much. My naturopath has helped me along my journey. Thank goodness for healers (like yourself) in the world.

"They" don't want their customer healthy, type two is a billion industry if not more. I explained to my doctor that it was fasting and keto that help me not metformin and I was met with disgust

My doctor took "Diabetes" off my chart. I started a very low carb diet in 2001 when I learned that my A1c was 9 to 11 over a few tests and my GTT came back bad. Since then my A1c has consistently been about 5.2. After several years of this I declared my diabetes reversed, but it took several more years for my doctor to agree.

“Managing” is always having a customer. Reversing is stopping the subscription.

I reversed diabetes in 2011. My a1C was 13.4, it's now below 5, which is better than normal. I started with Dr. Bernstein's book and then found Dr. Berg. I'm 64 and on no pharma drugs at all. BP and lipids are normal. Just do it, it works.

My fasting blood glucose was 123 (prediabetic) before starting keto/IF. After 21 mths, I've lost 143 pounds, and my fasting blood glucose is in the 70-80's range... amazing!! My dad passed away at age 66 from complications of diabetes. I wish I would have known about keto and IF, and found Dr. Berg before he got really ill. I know these dietary changes would have helped him immensely. Thanks for this very empowering video, Dr. Berg.
