what is gemeinschaftsschule? and gesamtschule? in simple terms if some one from india comes to germany for class in secondary like 7 or 8 grade and his kids go to school, what is best option in public school-gymnasium needs high language skills, if kid want to go to university for doing engineering or medical study do only option is gymnasium or other options

Hi you have not told options after doing Gesamtschule, can they get abitur? can they do university education, moreover if student want to become engineer or doctor is it only if they learn through gymnasium or its possible through Gesamtschule as well please clarify
