In the Netherlands we have a dresscode but they never actually do anything with it, this one girl legit wore a bra as a top and no one cared

Edit: to everyone saying "oh can guys just walk around in their underwear", you should see the guys with their pants to their knees because it's 'fashion' 💀

Fun fact:in Italy it's the same, but only after elementary school, all the rules we have is to dress sportive when we have PE

Graduated in 2013, so things might have changed since then at my old school in southwest Germany. Back then there was no real dress code. Only the threat that if one really went as far as wearing something that leaves you basically half naked, the school would provide really oversized tshirts to wear as a dress to cover everything.

Most schools in the USA don’t have a dress code either, or at least not a very strict one

In my German school they forbid low rise pants and sweatpants and shorts where the butt shows out

I dont think that schools should have no dress code. There should be certain limits and it does teach discipline.

Here in ireland schools have a dress code.

I WISH!! we have a uniform and can’t wear a non-school sweatshirt, on free-dress days we can’t wear long shirts or short shorts and t shirts are banned!

in germany, our school doesnt want ppl to wear stomach showing stuff (bauchfrei) if they do, they get the school merch hoodie 😂

We sort of had a Dresscode when i was in school, but it was really just out teacher asking us to wear clothes that have enough coverage that no skin touches the chair ( so no super short shorts, skirts or dresses, crop tops or tops with open backs or anything like that...)
And it was kinda voluntary, but we all did it because we'd get a 15 minute lecture about how it's unhygienic and so on...😅😅

In Czechia we alson don't have dress code. I wore just sports bra and mini skirt on the school photo day and my teacher complemented me how well dressed I'm.
Usually students care about others clothing, but not teachers. The only dresscode rule I remember is "white shoe soles on PE" but nothing else
