Oh wow. the realness here! I'm also a contractor and man this hits the nail on the head! "Thousand for the bar, thousand for the wet" i was like "how generous!"

I don’t know why it’s so hard to find a contractor that completes every job in under a week, holds the price while I firm up a few details, does high quality work, handles all the permits and material acquisition, has an eye for interior design and also controls the weather.

Homeowners... NEVER make a change without signing a change order. Contractors... NEVER do work outside the scope of the original contract, without having a signed change order!
We are called contractors, not hand shakers!

As a video editor, I get a LOT of clients that like to change stuff last minute but now, I should use "that's about a thousand" as a line whenever it happens. And in the same way it's said in this video XD

Dudes... Signed with the contractor October 2021. And it's not yet done. Some major renovations, and a couple set backs on our side. But I could have had three sequential new builds in the same time span.

Do you have a shirt available that says "A Couple More Years"? That's the one we need. We're 22 years later after building our house, and still working. Truth be told - we put an addition on the house 10 years ago before we even finished the window trim and baseboard in a couple rooms of the original structure. Oh - and you guessed it - the addition also does not yet have baseboard trim installed on top of our hardwood floors 10 years later. :)
