Went to MEPS yesterday & was lucky to be one of the first groups done because there were A LOT of ppl there. The overall process wasn't bad at all I think some ppl just overthink it. Each part of the physical didnt even last 5 minutes. Actually, I think the longest part of the whole thing was just the presentation & them explaining what MEPS is. Then again, like I said I was amongst the first group done. Get there early, be first, get it out the way.

I have self harm scars on my forearm and my thigh and I've been cleared three separate times (twice by psychologists, one being a Marine himself, and once by my primary doctor) for the military. The first recruiter I had had me get all of the medical records I had pertaining to said scars. I've been told by a Navy recruiter that I'd never get in but I've talked to mutliple different Marine Corps recruiters and they've told me that it's not a guarantee but that I should be able to get in. Right now I'm just waiting for a copy of my psych eval to come in the mail (I gave the original copy to an Army recruiter and he never answered my calls to get it back), once I get it I'm going to go to a new recruiter and see what I can do. I'm telling you this because I was wanting your honest opinion, as a Marine in the infantry, about what you think my chances are of getting in.

I got medically disqualified from the USAF and I was on Temporary Disqualified until they permanently disqualified when they did not approve of me for waivers, part of it was my recruiter, so I am trying to go into the Navy. Your MEPS experience was quite similar to mine.
