I still can't believe they didn't update Silvery Barbs in the new PHB. Such a great but legitimately OP spell, they could have tweaked it a bit.

So, Shield would have been better here because the second attack wouldn't hit her AC of 24.
Please stop complaining about Silvery Barbs, there are better 1st level reaction spells that can mitigate more damage.
