How to ACTUALLY be motivated & disciplined to achieve ANYTHING you want

You're more powerful than you think. A deep dive revealing the TRUTH behind my mindset for success.

// Quote from James Clear I saw on May 1, 2024 that I found such a coincidence to my thoughts in this video:
"People can help you in many ways throughout life, but there are two things nobody can give you: curiosity and drive. They must be self-supplied.

If you are not interested and curious, all the information in the world can be at your fingertips, but it will be relatively useless. If you are not motivated and driven, whatever connections or opportunities are available to you will be rendered inert.

Now, you won't feel curious and driven about every area of life, and that's fine. But it really pays to find something that lights you up. This is one of the primary quests of life: to find the thing that ignites your curiosity and drive.

There are many recipes for success. There is no single way to win. But nearly all recipes include two ingredients: curiosity and drive."

i have been living in low mood, no desire to do anything for almost 2 years. I've learnt a lot about managing feeling, motivation etc, watching endless "psychology hacks, etc".

your video concludes everything i ALREADY knew. SOMEHOW i still cannot move a needle, but i feel better everyday. thanks for your video.

Points i learnt:

1. Your motivation should be intrinsic

2. Think of your 'why' when you struggle to choose between something productive and something unproductive

3. Put yourself in the shoes of someone who acheived their potential. Embody their characteristics (the hard work they put in), instead of beig motivated by them. 9:21

4. You have to believe you can do anything you set your mind to

Hi Amy! I just wanted to comment that I’ve already tried implementing some of your tips, and I’ve already cut my screen time down from 10 hours to 2 hours, beat my social media addiction and I have a nearly 4.0 GPA

Watching your videos are the best thing I’ve done ❤

Absolutely! It's spot-on! Many creators of such videos often emphasize motivation and systems, but the core reason behind it all is truly the driving force behind habit formation. It needs to resonate deeply because during our most challenging moments, it's our "why" that sustains us, especially when it springs from our innermost being.

The mindset conversation is so important, you're definitely beyond just a studytuber at this point!!

I really liked when you said I had the determination to really want something and go get it. I do think what holds back people is their fear of failure

Yeah.I used to be jealous of one of my besties who seems so smart to accomplish things effortlessly and make new friends constantly. She never doubts herself and often see things positively. But I often think it’s so unfair that I have to work ten times or even hundred times harder to get the same thing they already have. So I can’t help but look down upon myself and don’t even want you to try. But today, I learned that hard work might also be a natural gift. Just work hard step by step eventually I can get the things I want. If the only way to achieve the goal is work hard, then I get it. Work hard and i will be smarter

Dude, found your comeback video two days ago, watched it the next day, and found this truly inspiring. Have you thought of starting a podcast? I truly enjoy how well spoken you are and how insightful you are to the topics.

Hello Amy! Just started subscribing on both your channels. I just want to say that it's so refreshing to know that there's someone just like me who know that they can do anything they set their mind to. However, I'm struggling in the believing-in-myself part, so this video was a great help in giving me a whole new perspective on it :) I'm getting big older sister vibes, so thank you so much for sharing this :)

Great insight on reframing discipline as clarity of goals! Tapping into your unique 'why' can naturally fuel the drive to make choices that align with your true priorities. 🔥

Thank you for this podcast 💓 it has been mindblowing and it clarifies things I've had in my mind 🤯I do want to ask you something... if you worked so so so so so hard to be a valedictorian and be a good student to go to a good college, did you have like, an identity crisis when ivy league schools didn't accept you? I ask you because I feel like I'm having one. I planned my whole professional life like "to be a therapist study psychology, graduate, choose a specialty, do a master's in that, and THEN you can give therapy" but it hasn't been what I expected so I don't even know if I want to be one, and it has shaken my whole world.
Sending you lots of hugs

Hi Amy, just wanted to say this was a really great and refreshing perspective, as ive really been working on motivating myself to do all the things i need to in order to be fulfilled and have a meaningful purpose. However, i really liked how you described the interchangeable aspects (im assuming) of motivation and discipline within the realm of having a true purpose as i probably already mentioned. But case in point; its up to us as individuals to want to be of value and not just a servant to what our biases tell us otherwise. It might seem arbitrary, but that is how we as people will be able to understand what makes us feel worthy.

I love your content it feels very authentic, doesn’t feel like a PowerPoint presentation nor just some motivational weirdness, you speak like a normal human being which makes this relatable

I like this channel so much. You could definitely be a coach. I would pay money. Usually I watch videos with no regard as to how many followers they have. After watching 4 straight videos, I thought, she must have 300k followers. Not yet, but that speaks to the value you’re putting out there. Thank you

I wanted to also say that im prone to binge scrolling through YouTube and other social media, but at least i am becoming self aware of that particular habit, and whenever i feel like im on social media too much; i usually like to sketch/draw and look up new recipes to cook/bake. It might seem silly, although at least they're tasks that are constructive and encourage accomplishment ;)
