This series is like bedtime stories for guitarists, and I'm here for as many issues as you've got.

I don't why, but I find it cool to watch you thumb thru a magazine that I thumbed thru a few times in 88. Thanks for the flashback!

Dear Michael this video magazine reviews are amazing, whatching them I´m glad to be old (for a minute), because I could live those days ...and I saw a DOD advertising Wah/Volume pedal that I still have!! Thanks man!!!

This is literally the first magazine issue I bought when I finally picked up a guitar and learned to play. I also bought the special issue with Felder’s double neck on the cover. I have that one still. This one was lost in a moving purge over 20 years ago.

It was an era where you'd need upwards of 10 grand worth of gear to even sound half decent

I really enjoy those readings! It brings so much good memories. I remember most of those ads, DOD pedals etc. I hope you have a whole collection of these and you will share them all! Thanks a lot!

At 3:10 ... Guitar LP Of The Year is the Ozzy RR Tribute LP and not Whitesnake the runner-up

This was SOOO much more fun and interesting than I thought it was going to be...it was like a time capsule. I especially liked Vandenberg's take on the "new" Whitesnake record through the lens of what actually ended up happening.

I was a pupil of Chet Thompson when I was a kid and he’s perhaps one of the greatest guitarists and more over one of the finest humans I’d ever have the good fortune to know . Btw he was Randy Rhoad”s pupil and friend . He was absolutely no slouch he was featured in Guitar magazine on numerous occasions including a lesson w Randy . Chet is still my favorite guitarist . 👍🏼

Loved that issue! Had every issues going back to '83 until '90 or so. Wish you could get them in digital, would be great to go back and flip through them. I still have a few issues (the "Steve" issue comes to mind), so fun to see the old ads etc. Fun Mike, thanks!

Thanks! I bought a flurry of GFPM for 7-8 years, starting in 88 with a Trower tab (Too Rollin' Stoned, I think).

How funny, I had this issue as a kid. I couldn't relate bc no one looked like that at CBGBs' hardcore matinees. Lol.
