We are so lucky today we can to listen to anyone or anything any time we want if any the new classical composers pass away we could listen to their recording and see them play it. Man It would have kinda sucked if we lived back then so many things to take for granted.

OMG! My family had the original (RCA?) recording by him, a big old 78rpm. That was my first piece of 2 handed piano music and my teacher’s backyard touched our side yard. I used to play it full blast and yell out that I was practicing. Drove her crazy! Circa 1950

Я думаю, что рулон с чёрточками - это уже копия (в этом причина двух ошибок вначале). Настоящие рулоны делались из полу-картона. Кроме того, я читал, что педаль невозможно было записать, и её приходилось отдельно воспроизводить оператору.
