When you asked if I thought Gracie committed insurance fraud I immediately was like yes without any evidence lmfao

Fun fact about Porter : It is said on his e-reader card that he sometimes switch places with his brother who is the train's engineer. He also doesn't share his birthday with Champ so maybe Champ is the unknown brother? He doesn't show up in other games because he is the engineer. Maybe a bit of a reach but I found it interesting ! Thank you for this video, it's great !

Regarding the humans, it’s interesting that all of the art in the museum is unchanged from real life. No animal people included which raises questions

My Katrina theory:

She's actually psychic but she doesn't know that. Meaning she's a scammer that's unaware of her abilities.

She says what comes to mind, but she's doing that simply to scam so she doesn't consider where those thoughts come from. Maybe she doesn't even believe it's possible to have the powers that she has.

Shoutout to my gram for requiring an explanation of why I wanted her so much in ACNH. I didn't think about it much before saying it out loud but that's kinda just been my assumption since Population Growing not sure why but it makes sense to me lol

I just want to point out that Harriet’s apron is probably not the French flag. Given the context of her being a hairstylist, it’s more likely supposed to look like a barbershop pole like this -> 💈

the evolution statement shows that the fossils on display are different branches of the evolutionary tree, not ancestors of the final results on the window at the top. it's quite clear that the Australopithecus (and every other fossile on display) is on it's own branch, not an in-between point between origin species and humans. (and animal crossing anthro animals)

Gracie isn’t the first Nintendo character to commit tax fraud, but she won’t be the last

I definitely think Champ and Porter are the same character, but i think it's a little silly to call it a theory, because it really feels like Nintendo is very explicitly saying they're the same character with Champ's interest in trains. I think his name is Champ, and Porter is his profession.

I like the Porter/Champ theory, but they have different birthdays… so they’re different characters.

I've always said that Resetti lives underground since the PW project in New Leaf.

I think Champ is Porter's brother. In Porter's animal crossing e-reader card, it says "Despite being stuck at the station rain or shine, Porter always seems to be in a chipper mood. Rumor has it that he and his brother, the train's engineer, switch places sometimes!" which confirms he has a brother that looks just like him. Champ has a different birthday than Porter, which makes me think it is not Porter. It has to be his brother. This would also make sense because Porter's brother also works at the train station, so him appearing as a villager when there is no train station all adds up. The choo choo catchphrase would also still be fitting of Porter's brother.

I don't think Animal Crossing is purgatory, but a digital simulation similar to Ready Player One or some such.

In New Horizons, I even had a Lazy villager say as much before laughing it off as a joke, but not before my player character started sweating and panicking that the NPCs were catching on.

In New Leaf, most of the shop owners were all on main street, and in New Horizons, most of them live on Harv's Island. In New Horizons, I was always wondering if you could go up that stairs in Nooks Crannys.

Actually, the person over the phone is confirmed to be Rover in Animal Crossing City Folk!
I don’t know about other games though, but I do have City Folk 😅

the "is Champ Porter" theory has been debunked. In Animal Crossing Plaza for the Wii U, it was revealed they have different birthdays. My headcanon is that Champ is actually Porter's younger brother, and his love of trains is because of his admiration for Porter.
As far as the caged hamster and hamster villagers, things get weird when you look at Flurry's house. Flurry, a white hamster villager, has a white hamster in a cage on her dresser. Why.

the buildings in animal crossing are like in harry potter. you go into a tiny mouse hole and ending up being in a big castle. there is magic in animal crossing.

About Champ, you completely forgot to mention that when you start a new town in New Leaf, after you created your face after talking to Rover, there's another monkey (Speaker, but that's not his real name) who announces the town destination. He is very similar to Porter with the suit and the hat. This could potentially mean that it's Champ, Porter's long lost brother ? We'll never know.

the turtle you catch in acnh is a snapping turtle, and tortimer is a tortoise, which are very different animals. not sure about the frog though, maybe there is a "human" animal version and a normal animal version of every animal? though that wouldnt explain the pescatarian food.

There's another disembodied voice NPC in the original gamecube verion when you use the "lovely phone" item. I just dont know if it's in aminalese or if it's in bebelese.

also there are “normal” humans on tv. like doing panel/game shows and presenting the (accurate and live in-game) weather. so there are also normal humans in the AC world…and if the human newscasters know, and are presenting, the weather for YOUR small getaway island….where tf are they?!
