Hand made Air conditioner made of foam lunch box,dc 5 volt fan,4pcs AAA rechargeable batteries and some ice.
This homemade conditioner can run on batteries and you can plug directly into any usb.

I made 1 of these out of stuff I was going to throw away or recycle. I took an old coffee can and an old Computer fan and tied it into a old usb cord. mounted the fan on top of the can. cut the top of a 16 oz water bottle off so I was left with a small funnel. mounted the funnel on the inside with the small end pointing out at an upward angle. Instead of using standard batteries I used a 2600mah battery bank (witch barely work to charge my phone) to power the unit. Works great to cool a person down, but it won't cool a room.

Will this alao work with a bigger version, but then with cardboard, filled with ice cubes in plastic sacks blown by a big fan?

Lol not so efficent. Nice go at it though. Just gotta upscale it. I saw a tutorial on a homedepot bucket Paul. And use same concept. But they used a plug in fan drill holes in pail l and then a 1 gallon milk jug of ice. And place fan on top. Said it lasts for 4 to 5 hours.
