Most people forget that in the early game, when you don't have much fuel, you can make campfires which will give you an infinite source of cooking time for your food. Just don't forget to collect your food once its cooked or it will eventually de-spawn. Once you have enough iron for a hopper, you can put a hopper underneath the campfire, faceing into a chest, and your cooked food will be put away safely in your chest and won't de-spawn 😊

It’s refreshing to see people say that it’s okay to be bad at a game and all that matters is that you have fun! A nice change of pace compared to something like counter strike and such toxic shooters.

Just starting this game recently at 44 yrs old after watching my kids play it for years. Pretty impressive lol. Im not very good il say that. Ive found iron and copper and made ingots in the furnace but i still dont have a recipe for any tools other than stone and usually i die or get lost when i go cave hunting.

I have always relied on wood the first 2 or 3 days. You can burn the wood and you can make torches (charcoal). I spend the first couple of nights mining and days collecting wood, food and hopefully wool. After that you can venture forth with a bit of capital.
