This is a basic Wilderness Survival Kit! Hopefully you won't need to use these in a real survival situation. I find a lot of situations don't have to cause you to worry though if you have a simple kit like this with you in the wilderness.

Incase you want to pick up your own kit, here are some essentials I mentioned.

In my bag I carry a 10mm glock & a .22 rifle
10mm handguns can take down a bear & mountain lions
& the .22 is good for hunting small game

Technically I also have a fully kitted out AK-103(flashlight, grip & scope) &plate carrier that has all of my medical gear on it but unless I’m in an area where there’s wild hogs it’s mainly just in my trunk for any emergency or shtf situations

This was very helpful to me. My Sabbath School class asked me to pick out 10 things I would take with me to a deserted island and there they are.😄

A water proof bag or pack sack is a good choice for a survival kit. I gave my now adult children a water proof pack sack filled with survival kit (torch, 1st aid kit, emergency blanket, 4 m rope/line, fire kit, metal cup, foldable camping knife + fork, spoon, swizzers, plier multi tool etc.).

I actually considered getting a plastic water bottle, what it ultimately came down to was durability, a metal water bottle can take more beatings and you can repeatedly boil water in it if you had to. But we all have our own preferences and strategies, so he may be fine.

I've had a bug out bag for years now and I'm happy that it checked off everything on the list.

I like The Stone. And any time Haley or Stone's chirren can be brought into the video, that's a big plus.

Great video - really smart. I learned some good information from this. Thank you.
(I used to carry a kit in my car. One thing I learned the hard way: batteries die in the cold. A flashlight with a crank rocks!)

i thought a blade was ridiculous to have until my small daughter got entangled in someone's discarded fishing line in about four feet of water . had she been alone it would have been a disaster

I certainly love the last tip: If you're stuck in a survival situation, a book is great for moral and a *survival book* is even helpful. Although i'm not carrying yours yet, i am carrying one in my emergency rucksack in the car. A hatchet and those "pocket chainsaws" are also nice, esp. for cars. As far as a medikit goes: Imo the most overlooked items in those are a nail file, a pair of scissors for nails, something for tick removal (the particular item depends on personal preference i guess), hand sanitizer and some wound desinfectectant. (I throw these into all my medikits.) Also, a nice pair of thick gloves is worth carrying.
Other things i like to have around: The Titan Survival emergency sleeping bag and blankets, their SurvivorCord v1 (not the v2), the Bahco Laplander folding saw, the Morakniv Bushcraft Survival, some fatwood, a roll of toilet paper, a couple of packs of Kleenex, a snack and... wait for it: A bag of treats and a can of dog food for the dog plus folding bowls. You never know when you get stuck for the night when travelling with the dog: Traffic jam in winter/car breakdown with no cell service/...
More of a car item imho: I also love to have a folding shovel on board. (Winter/mud/... you know...)

I'd suggest a larger, traditional Khukuri. Can serve as a bushcraft axe, knife, and defense all in one. Keep it by your side when you sleep with bear mace.

A pretty good kit for townies and people who aren't use to being in the woods

For cordage I would bring tape because tape can be turned into hats bottles rope kayaks and has many uses and can be turned into a grip for a makeshift weapon so many birds with one stone

Its scary how fast you can go from living comfortably to suddenly needing everything in this video.

For shelter I would suggest getting a hammock setting that up, then putting a tarp over it, and a wool blanket\sleeping bag to keep you warm
