From SergeantMajor Roberts, USMC Retired: you only have these recruits for a short while, and you should be taken every possible moment to train them for war, yet this is what you teach them instead. Teach them to fight, teach them to survive, teach them, something important, a life lesson, some thing that will stick with them the rest of their lives. Not this bullshit you’re not there to be their friend. This drill instructor needs a “plexiotomy” it is a medical procedure where they surgically implant a piece of plexiglass in your stomach so that when you have your head up your ass, you can see where you’re going.
