Barbour Utility Jackets Reviewed

Great jacket. I was lucky enough to get one that was made in England.

I’m 5 foot 8 inches tall, 157 lbs wearing a size small. These were said to be slim fit compared to traditional classic fit Barbour jackets but they still fit slightly oversized.

My small utility wax jacket measures:

21.5 inch, 55 cms (underarm to underarm, measured at FRONT)

19 inch, 48 cms (underarm seam to cuff, measured at FRONT)

24 inch, 61 cms (shoulder to cuff, measured at FRONT)

18 inch, 46 cms (across shoulders, measured at BACK)

26 inch, 66 cms (length, excluding collar, from nape of neck to hem, measured at FRONT)

I have the Olive color with the Classic Tartan lining. There is a Sage Green A592 color with the Ancient Tartan lining, a Black A419 color with the Modern Tartan as well as a rare Brown A417 color with a brown check tartan lining. Some newer manufactured jackets are called New Utility Jackets while the older ones like mine were simply called Utility Jackets.

Hi! I like your Barbour videos! I've watched a number of them already. The thumbnail for this particular video has you sitting on a motorcycle. Have you ever tried riding a motorcycle in one of your Bedales? Do you know if the collar flaps around at all if you don't snap it up? Thanks!

Thank you for producing this content and sharing your perspective. It has been extremely helpful as I consider buying my first Barbour.

Nice jacket, great review as always Olaf. Try a Barbour Lutz, I have one, really like the style and fit. Love the outtakes, great you don’t take yourself too seriously. Cheers!

Thank you for the videos about Barbour jackets. its not easy to find videos like this for women. Eventhough the jackets are not exactly the same, it helps a lot to chose the right Barbour jacket to buy.

Is this the same jacket as Barbour's "New Utility Jacket"?

Didn't this evolve (devolve) a bit to become the Sanderling?

Rare jacket these days. Have you tried the Lutz or the Beacon?

If you want a slim fit wouldn't an Ashby be a better choice?

Hi, I am looking online for this jacket But i cannot Find It ... can you further help me ? :)

That jacket seems a bit small on you. I can see you are going for a fitted look, but it appears that the sleeve length and shoulder cut is causing it to "pull" in the elbow. The cuff should sit past your wrist, but before it.

Love this jacket. I'd like to compare it to the Sapper.

Barbour are missing a trick by not developing the range. Keep the outdoors utility and appearance but double as a travel/work jacket.

Why is it that you don't give the opportunity for people to see what the sleeve length is like for you on the jacket? Someone that knows about Barbour jackets that sleeve length can be an issue.
