The third is to record from the side angle and see what creates the shortest moment arm. Or just guess acording to ur femur and torso length. Longer torso equals more upright, longer femors equals higher hips.

I think what works for most people is to stick to conventional for a while. Unless you got the mobility or the leverages sumo isn’t going to get you anything.
If you are built for it, go do it.

That was painful to watch. 😂

Yet I actually did somewhat similar with the hip raise first when I pulled 405lbs. First one on my shorts was poor form yet I corrected it on my second deadlift on my shorts. I Think I improved my deadlifts from doing squats consistently. Squats are my weakest lift with my bench.

Do you always recommend a tight upper back? I’ve been trying out a more relaxed upper back and the bar has been feeling more stable.
