How do I partition my C drive in Windows 11/10/8/7 without formatting it

Показать описание
When should drive C be partitioned?
Typically, when thinking about partitioning C drive, you could run across two alternative scenarios.
Learn how to partition your C drive in Windows 11/10/8/7 without formatting it. This video will show you step-by-step how to create a new partition and extend your C drive without losing any data.
Situation 1. The majority of PCs have a single partition on their hard drives when they leave the manufacturer, thus in the computer window, it appears as one drive often the C drive. In this case, you can use Disk Management to resize C drive and make a new partition using the extra space. Make a backup of your data first. You cannot be certain that data loss won't occur as a result of this partition process.
Situation 2: When you purchased the new computer, the seller had it thoughtfully partitioned. However, you discover that the system partition C disc is far from big enough for you to run the system as you occasionally get "Low Space" warnings from the machine. Even worse, you cannot resolve this issue using Disk Management since "Extend Volume" will be greyed out like it is in the first screenshot above until there is free space just below the C drive.
