My First Time in China

Silly white foreigner ruins china with his awkwardness. Just felt like doing a funny travel vlog thing. I will probably be moving this to my other trash vlog channel after a few weeks (hence the intro), but I wasted time making this, so I wanted to share it with you all.

If I do more story type stuff in the future, I'll probably incorporate more art content, but anyway... back to drawing and painting and working on my next art videos!

Watching this video while in Shanghai after being in China for the last 3 and a half weeks made my night. First Chinese words I learned was how to say cold water. At least your a 6 foot white America, being a black American in China everyone wants to touch your hair and take photos and videos with you. Fun times

Great video - visited my wife's family there for the first time a little over 10 years ago now and can identify with all these experiences! Can't say I've seen a better visual representation of Chinese traffic. It sounds like you don't have much Mandarin under your belt, that right? Gunna help when your kids start learning, and being able to converse even in a small way with the in-laws is invaluable. Get any art out of the trip? Good wishes to you and yours

Chicken feet are common in Mexico too! ... Same as the old ladies and gentlemens that push you to get a spot in the subway. At least that happens in Mexico City.

I visited the Hong Kong Disneyland and the line cutting is no joke. Dads cutting their way through the line with their daughters dragged along by hand. I had to keep my hand on the bars on both sides at all times to keep people from cutting.

This was such an enjoyable video! I'm Chinese but I've only been to China when I was really young, so I don't remember any of it. I live in New York but my neighborhood is full of Chinese and Taiwanese people, and the way you described the people and traffic in China is pretty on par with how it's like here haha. ALSO your description of chicken feet is spot on - though it's one of my favorite foods!

LOL jajajaja I couldn't sleep during the long flight tooo. A quick recommendation is to bring a noise-canceling headphone. Sony WH-1000xm3 is the king of the kings.
