Something most people do not know about the tom brown tracker knife. There have been many reviews on this knife and none of them really get into the purpose of it. This knife is designed to be a survival knife. Yeah you can make traps, and chop small branches and split wood with it but those are just more things it can do. It's intended purpose is to make self bows with. The recessed part of the blade near the handle is to be used as a draw knife for tillering a self bow to desired flex of limbs. The quarter round is for making arrows. The biggest part is for chopping, also for removing the big stuff from the tillering process. The saw teeth on the back are for making the notches for a string, also for traps like the figure 4 dead fall. One of those saw teeth is for breaking barb wire or chain link fences. The curve on the spine of the blade is designed to rest against the knee to pull wood towards yourself without much effort in removing slivers. Everything else it can do is just extra.

Interesting choices - based on the dark alley scenario...a push dagger is not a bad one as it is less susceptible to being taken away and has a good "that doesn't look like something I wanna get stabbed with!" factor to it 🤔

Cold Steel Safemaker is highly illegal in MOST places because both edges are sharp, also push daggers are illegal in almost all states

I bought a safe maker back in high school. I bought it and a roach belly hunter together. I unbox both and while I'm looking at the roach belly I notice a small nick, no pain on a finger. The safe maker was so sharp I didn't feel the tiny cut at all. Still have it too, it's still tip top shape except for a slight bend in the tip. My twin decided to punch a board. Without me.
