For a zombie apocalypse, I recommend always having a machete because it never runs out of ammo and a fixed blade knife because there's less to go wrong

I personally don't recommend pocket knives for any sort of bushcraft. I've had multiple quality knives break due to the inevitable abuse bushcraft requires

1. kukri - works as defence tool, but also can be used to build a civilisation.

2. A good reliable, easy to maintain fixed knife like the Mora garberg black oder the esse3/4 but in 1095. Winkler knives if you have the money.

4. Folder should be simple (no auto or complicated lock, also bushings are better than bearings for reliablity) reliable with a good trackrecord of people using it -> Emerson CQCs or CRK Inkosi or Umumzaan or Spydercon Shaman CruWear.

5. Multitool go with the Surge over the wave. has an ahl wich is more usefull than the small bitholder of the wave. bigger pliers/wirecutters and you will use them often, also better scissors.

Leatherman makes GREAT sturdy multi-tools pocket knives. I still got the one (keychain version) that I received from my first step-dad in 1998... Used it for many different tasks and it's still sharp and sturdy. Impressive!

Last thing you need in an apocalypse is a folder

I love my AK bayonet. Stab, cut, has a sawback and with the sheath can be used as wire cutters. Bakelite is just sexy and the flexibility the knife provides is top notch

I'd recommend something like a poleaxe, but shortened to be the length of your arm so it'd be comfortable to wield in one hand or two. Aside from being a decent weapon, it can be used to chop wood with the axe head and bust through hard surfaces with the hammer head. The presence of the axe and hammer also means that the dagger on the tip of the weapon won't get stuck in a zombie. You might even modify one to have a collapsible handle so that it can be useful in short and medium range engagements.

For the Leatherman, one should get a couple sets of replacement bits and a MOLLE sheath to carry it all in.

This is how you properly advertise products

You should specify a bit more there. I really dont see a long bladed knife shop through a reinforced concrete wall you know the ones used in most of europe.

Knives have always been essential in the wasteland, but are usually easily obtained from salvagers.

Thank you but I also have a homemade crude arrow with a bout with it

The storm vector is nice but I'm going to go with my Roman gladius which has a bit more reach

S35VN? I could be wrong, but isn't that a pretty hard steel, making it noticably harder than the normal esse high carbon (I think it's 1075), and thus harder to field sharpen? Definitely tempted by the S35VN but definitely not traditional Esse.
